英文:mama’s boy, momma’s boy, mummy’s boy (n.)

英文:act crazy when people visit (v.); act crazy in the presence of guests (v.)

  • John’s children are constantly acting crazy when people visit, making him feel so embarrassed.
  • Peter’s daughter acted crazy in the presence of guests yesterday so he grounded her for two weeks.

  • Martin usually gets drunk and acts crazy, throwing any object he sees.
  • His father and mother were heavy drinkers and would often get drunk and act crazy, yelling at and even verbally abusing him.

說明:「夜店」叫做 club 或 nightclub;「上夜店」叫做 go to clubs/nightclubs, go clubbing,後者為美國俚語。

  • Donna always hangs out at the club. There are many club rats like her.
