take aback; take for; take through

take * aback
使 (某人) 大吃一驚
The news of his death really took me aback. (他死亡的消息著實令我大吃一驚)
They were a little taken aback at the directness of the question. (問題問得如此直接,令他們有點吃驚)

take * for
把 (某人) 看作是 (什麼樣的人)
What do you take me for? (= What sort of person do you think I am?) (你把我看作什麼人呢?)

take * through
為 (某人) 解釋,向 (某人) 說明
John took me through the procedures before we started. (在我們開始之前,約翰為我說明了所有程序)
