The famous epigram attributed to Joseph Stalin says that: “The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is statistics.” 千百萬人的死亡則是統計數字」);My favorite epigram is “I can resist everything except temptation.”
I liked the epigraph in that book. (我喜歡那本書的題詞);An epigraph is an effective literary tool, but only a very few writers know how to utilize it.
