Finally、at last、lastly 還是 in the end 呢?

Finally、at last、lastly 和 in the end 這四個字或片語都當副詞用,除了 lastly 外,finally、at last 和 in the end 均意為「最後;終於」,但用法並不相同。(請參見「At the beginning 還是 in the beginning? At the end 還是 in the end 呢?」

  • We finally got home at midnight.
  • After months of looking John finally found a job.

  • The plan hasn’t been finally approved.
  • The exact amount has not been finally decided.

  • Finally, I’d like to say many thanks for your assistance.
  • Finally, I’d like to thank everyone for coming along this evening.

  • My father has at last bought me the bicycle he promised me.
  • At last they reached Hanoi.
  • At long last the government is starting to listen to our problems.
  • The president is here at last!! We’ve been waiting one and a half hours.
  • Fiona’s finished her essay at last!

  • And lastly, remember that you arrive at the airport right on time tomorrow.
And finally, remember that you arrive at the airport right on time tomorrow. (正)
And at last, remember that you arrive at the airport right on time tomorrow.
  • We need to learn subjects, verbs, objects and, lastly, complements.
We need to learn subjects, verbs, objects and complements in the end.
  • In accepting this award, I would like to thank the producer, the director, the scriptwriter, and, lastly, the film crew.
In accepting this award, finally (or at long last or in the end) I would like to thank the producer, the director, the scriptwriter, and the film crew.

  • In the end, she decided not to marry him.
  • Everything will be all right in the end.
  • Cindy was thinking about going to Japan, but in the end she went to South Korea.
  • And then, in the end, after months of discussion Mr. Smith decided to sell his mansion.
