One man’s meat is another man’s poison (phr.)

說明:One man’s meat is another man’s poison 已知第一個紀錄此諺語的人是英國作曲家湯瑪斯‧維托 (Thomas Whythorne),他於大約 1576 年在他的自傳中寫到:”Þat which iz on bodies meat iz an oþerz poison. (That which is one bodies meat is others poison.)”。

  • Tom: What do you mean you don’t like stinky tofu? They’re the best food in the world!
Sam: One man’s meat is another man’s poison.
  • Simon loves to travel to remote areas but that’s not for Allen – one man’s meat.
