說明:舉凡做壞事或做虧心事被逮到、被抓包,都可用 be busted 來表示,busted 在此為形容詞,係俚語的「失敗的」之意。但 bust 本身除了當動詞和名詞 (意為「逮捕;搜查」) 之外,亦可當形容詞用,意為「壞了的;破產的」,通常與 be/go 連用,如 My computer is bust. (我的電腦壞了);I’m surprised his company went bust after only a year in business. (他的公司只經營一年就破產/倒閉了,我感到驚訝)。
