Little to no 和 little to none 這兩個片語均意為「甚少；幾乎沒有」，意思雖然一樣，但用法卻不同。
最初的用語是 little to no 而不是 little to none，但兩者都正確，視你如何使用它們而定。No 這個字是限定詞，位於名詞或名詞片語之前，如 no butter, no hope, no food and drink。所以，little to no 應該用在名詞或名詞片語之前。例如：
- There’s little to no butter left. (奶油已經所剩無幾了)
- We have little to no hope here. (我們在這裡幾乎沒有希望)
- They’d had little to no food and drink for two days. (他們已經兩天幾乎沒吃沒喝了)
必須注意的是，no 是限定詞，little to no 也是限定詞，而不是複合形容詞，所以字與字之間不可加連字號。
None 則是代名詞，可當主詞和受詞用，但不可用在名詞或名詞片語之前當修飾語。同樣地，little to none 也是用作代名詞。例如：
- I’m always looking for inspiration. Little to none ever comes. (我一直在尋找靈感。靈感幾乎從未出現過)

B: Little to none (= Little to no hope). (B：幾乎沒有)
雖然 no 可以修飾可數與不可數名詞，而 none 可代替可數與不可數名詞，但由於 little 的關係，little to no 和 little to none 分別只能修飾和代替不可數名詞。以 little to no 為例：
- I have little to no time to waste. (我幾乎沒有時間可以浪費)
－ Little to no 修飾不可數名詞 time。 - There is little to no sugar in the can. (罐子裡幾乎沒有糖)
－ Little to no 修飾不可數名詞 sugar。
由上可知，用 little to no 來修飾可數名詞是錯誤的。可數名詞的限定詞應使用 few 才對。然而，一些人在非正式的上下文中仍使用 little to no 來修飾可數名詞，讓人徒呼負負。例如：
- There are little to no pockets in these trousers. (這些褲子幾乎沒有口袋)
- I could get through the meal with little to no issues. (我可以幾乎沒有問題地吃完這頓飯)
Little to no 和 little to none 有時會分別被寫成 little or no 和 little or none，意思相似。然而，在非正式的上下文中，它們同樣被一些人用來修飾和代替可數名詞。例如：
