Crème de la crème 意為「精英；精華」，可以指一群人中的精英或一個物品類別中最好的部分，如保時捷、積架等都可被視為跑車中的精華。這個慣用語使用至今已超過 150 年。
Crème de la crème 是借自法文的片語，字面意思就是 “cream of the cream” (精華；最好的部分)。《牛津英語大辭典》(Oxford English Dictionary, OED) 目前仍保留法文有沈音符號 (grave accent) 的拼法。不過，吾人樂見它將來能跟 résumé (履歷表) 一樣，後者隨著時間的已被許多商業寫作者拿掉沈音符號而變成 resume。
